Richard Ramsden was appointed
consultant otolaryngologist at
Manchester Royal Infirmary in
1977 and was awarded a personal
chair in 1995. He has devoted
his professional life to
neurotology and skull base
surgery and has a large
experience of vestibular
Schwannoma surgery and of NF2
management.
He established the Manchester
Cochlear Implant/ABI programme
in 1988.
He
is a widely travelled and well
respected speaker at a variety
of ORL conferences in Europe,
America and Australia. He has
contributed many significant
scientific papers on clinical
and basic research and presently
holds the position of President
of the British Society of
Otorhinolaryngology – Head and
Neck Surgery.

Sam Robinson underwent his

surgery for snoring and sleep
apnoea. He regularly presents at

meetings, and has a number of
scientific papers and book
chapters on this topic. He has
been scientific coordinator of
two snoring and sleep apnoea
surgical conferences in Adelaide
(2004 & 2006), and was an
International organizing
committee member & plenary
speaker at the International
Sleep Surgery
Symposium,Chicago,2006.

into several languages and is
now in its 9th edition. He is
married to Linda Ho Lee. They
have 3 children, a litigator
(barrister), a hedge fund
private equity person and a
movie producer.
